Having a fireplace is one of those things that i always wanted.  Growing up we moved a lot, but one thing we never had was a fireplace.  I would beg my parents to get one, but they thought it would always be an added hassle.  So as soon as I could get a place of my own I decided that a fireplace was the most important thing.  Each year I love to get something to accent my fireplace.  One year I got a new mantle, one year a new blower for the heat. And this last year I got one of those wrought iron fireplace screens.  I love my fireplace and cannot imagine life without it.

As I am in my mid-seventies I have made it a goal to reduce my monthly bills as much as possible. i do not have a lot of money to live on so I stretch where I can. So if I see that one of my teams is coming into town, I can make plans to be there.

It’s the funnies thing.  I’ve only just noticed it, but there are three Albanian restaurants that I go to on a regular basis.  Their food is pretty basic, a sort of Truck Stop fair, but all three have decorative glass panels everywhere.  One has pine cones and winter decorations, another has some sort of art deco swirls, and the third one has wreaths and ribbons in almost all their glass.  I wonder if it’s a European thing to have etched glass and so on, or if it’s just this particular family (who owns all three restaurants) who really likes this style of decorating.
