A relaxing passtime
I love carousel ponies and admire the art work that goes into completing one. One summer I decided to order a pony carving kit and take up wood carving as a hobby. The advertisement said that it would be a relaxing hobby. That summer I would sit on my front porch with my blocks of wood, an x-acto knife and the one page instruction that came with the kit. Although I carved a lot that summer I never learned to relax. Now several years later I have joined a carving club and am learning from experienced carvers. I am still not doing carousel ponies but I have learned to relax.
