Fate of northern Iowa tourism up in the air

Northern Iowa tourism is expected to be up and down for the next few years. There are several attractions being planned but they are a long way from the building stage. Hunting lodges are doing their best to recruit customers, but with the decrease in the bird population the chances for an increase look bleak. The resorts such as Clear Lake are increasing their advertising dollars but weather or not they are targeting the correct demographic is up for debate. With all these different fronts it is anybody’s guess as to the combined effect in attracting people to this part of the state.
