I found the most beautiful Victorian valentines online. They renewed my respect for the artists of old, who labored for very little money and turned out such incredible works of art. The detail on these Valentine’s Day cards is incredible. Some even went through extra gilding and embossing processes when they were printed, which makes them look incredibly rich. Thanks to some high resolution scanning, you can see the raised details, which you’d think would only be visible in person. It’s great that we live in the Internet age, so such rich embellishments can be preserved for everyone to see.
