How much does the IRS give for eco friendly cars?
The IRS gives rebates for using cars that run on water – either hybrids or converting your current gas burning car to run your car on water. You need to purchase a converter kit to put on current cars. There are various kits and books out to help. In 2005 the IRS decided to encourage using water in cars by offering rebates. There is a maximum of $2000 for a car and $50,000 for a truck. The truck max is for trucks or vans over 26,000 pounds or busses that seat a total of 21 adults. $5,000 is given to trucks or vans that are between 10,000 and 26,000 pounds.
