I went to a thrift store last week. I wasn’t really looking for anything in particular although I must say that I am very open to new things. So while I was looking around I found a set of great pastel paintings that just won me over, and the only thing better than the paintings was the price. So I bought the whole set for less than twenty dollars, and I am sure that they are going to look great in my home. Now the only problem is where I should put them either in the dining room or the living room.

Before I joined the military I had taken three years of guitar lessons.  They came to an abrupt stop when I started to spend the next four years of my life onboard ships.  My guitar just would not fit into my sea bag.  From time to time someone would bring a guitar onboard and I would get a chance to get in a few riffs and licks but nothing to keep up my proficiency.  Now I am home and have invested in 50 blues guitar backing tracks to get me back on track and help me develop the skills I need.

I think that for my husband’s birthday I want to get him guitar lessons in Melbourne. For one, he is always complaining about the traffic to get home from Melbourne every night after work and this way he could just stay in town a little longer and take a lesson. For two, when we were dating in college he would sometimes serenade me and I think it would be great if he picked up the guitar again and did that from time to time. So perhaps the lessons are more for me, but I do not have to tell him that and hopefully he will be happy with the gift.

I think that one of my very favorite types of music has to be rap music. I also like a lot of different rap artists and there different styles that they bring. For instance I really like to listen to Will Smith but then I also like to listen to Nas. For me there is always a time and a place for all music. There is also the mood that I am in or want to get into that plays a big role on what I want to listen to at that particular time. So rap is great but is doesn’t always do the trick.

A lot of gyms have started offering street dance exercise classes in their timetables. So are they a good form of exercise?

I for one think so. Though it doesn’t look like much work, believe me that it is. However it’s also a lot fun - one of the most fun types of exercise that I’ve done.

Some of the other people in the class were saying that street dance was all they did for exercise and they feel much fitter than before they started. They might not turn you into an Arnold Schwarzenegger but you’ll have better dance moves and be less stiff afterwards!

Do you like star tattoos? I do. I got my first tattoo when I was eighteen. It was an ankle band of blue and purple stars. After that, I was hooked. I became addicted to tattoos. Each tattoo that I got after the first is a star tattoo as well. I don’t have any tattoos that are not stars. I have seven of them right now, but I don’t think I am finished. I already have another design picked out. Even then, I don’t think I’ll be done. I know I will find another sooner or later.
