Tomato sorting helps farmers
Farmers use tomato sorting machines to make the process faster and more efficient and to produce a higher quality pack. Some tomatoes require faster packing due to be being overripe or not as fresh. Such tomatoes must be processed quickly so that they do not go bad and get wasted. There are not any farmers that want their crop to go bad before it can be used. Many farmers want to lower their labor costs by automating. Farmers might not make as much profit if they have to hire the number of people it takes to inspect the amount of tomatoes that a tomato sorter can inspect in a fraction of the time.
