The Cuboid Syndrome

Suffering on the lateral side from the foot is far from very common, however, if it does take place a frequent reason of this is a problem named cuboid syndrome. The actual cuboid is really a little bone, about half of the way down the outside of the foot. The purpose of the cuboid bone is to act as a pulley for that tendon that goes down the outside of the rearfoot named the peroneus longus muscle. As the bone behaves as a pulley, it must be really secure once the muscle contracts, If it is not steady, then the bone could get subluxed and strain the joints surrounding it. This is exactly what leads to the problem.
