How a fellow employees death has affected me.
My wife and I have been married for the past ten years and have been very happy. We both work in different facets of law enforcement and have been doing this for years. Last year a friend of ours was gunned down along with his partner in a unmarked car. One of the officers survived the other one didn’t. The sudden violence and death of the one officer affected everyone in the department. I soon started having some panic attacks. I was terrified every time my wife went on her shift. If anything were to ever happen to her my life would change in ways I don’t even want to fathom.
