Did You Know Oak Floors Aren’t Just One Color?
For the longest time, I’ve been carrying around a great misconception about wood floors and furniture. I thought that they were always stained in particular colors that never varied much in shade. For example, I thought oak was always light, cherry was always reddish, and so forth. On the contrary, an oak floor can be basically any color your heart desires. The colors can range from white double smoked to dark double smoked and everything in between. Generally I think of oak as a pleasant light brown color that is neither too golden nor too red. However, you can choose a more golden or more reddish oak if you prefer.
