Door Prizes
Usually when my husband and I attend company functions, such as the Christmas party or the summer get-together, they send us home with door prizes. This year, instead of the typical table center pieces and gift certificates to local restaurants, they decided to have furniture for some of the big prizes. Not just any furniture, DESIGNER furniture. A Bertoia chair caught my eye right away. As luck would have it, I did not win it because I rarely win anything. The lady who did win it works in my division, though, and as luck would have it, she said it was not her style, so she gave it to me. I offered to pay her for it, but she said that was not necessary. The only condition was that if I ever won anything I did not want that I would keep her in mind!
