Not always on the mantel
My Dad now has 4 antique mantel clocks that he inherited from his dad. The clocks have been in the family for 5 generation now. Contrary to their name we don’t keep them on the mantel though. They are displayed in two nice display cases with glass fronts and a light above to show them off nicely. One case ins in my dad’s den and the other is in the family room. Visitors rarely see the one in my dad’s den though. The one in the family room gets noticed along with my mom’s China collection. I guess it just shared the limelight.
