Believe it or not, now is a great time to invest in commercial real estate. The commercial real estate market has seen some declining values, but it has fared better than the residential markets in most areas. Even if you don’t have millions of dollars available to invest in a commercial property, you can always invest in real estate investment trusts (REITS) as a commercial real estate investment. A REIT allows you to pool your money with thousands of other investors to invest in properties, mortgages, or both. REIT values are artificially low right now, so if you have a longer term investment horizon it could be a great option for your money.
