Sending Out Thank You Cards Is Proper Etiquette
Last month I retired from a great career, and my coworkers threw me a wonderful retirement party. They all pitched in so that I could have a very nice gift, and it meant a great deal to me that they would do this. I wanted to make sure that I acknowledged everyone who had contributed, and I had written down the names of the gift givers and what their gift was. I mailed out some nice thank you cards to them, and thanked them individually for their thoughtful gifts. I am really going to miss working with such a great group of people, but retirement is fantastic!
