What happened with the limewire pro lawsuit?

RIAA won its case based on a false premise; RIAA claimed that it had lost CD sales because too many college students and others were obtaining free music on the internet through applications such as Napster.  By extension that would also mean free Limewire Pro, and the RIAA would have loved to extend its iron grip to stop downloads via free Limewire Pro. But estimates later published were that CD sales had only fallen about 9%.  And the drop was attributed to the increase in sales and popularity of the DVD.  In essence the RIAA position was similar to saying that since LP sales fell when the CD became popular, something other than the new media format was responsible for the drop.  Road signs didn’t cause people to stop using horse and buggies to get from place to place after the car was invented.  Napster didn’t stop people from purchasing CDs, and certainly free Limewire Pro doesn’t
